A couple of weeks ago, we asked Angelenos to help us find our next host for 1stLook LA. Submissions poured in from wannabe hosts and votes were tallied.
We narrowed it down to three finalists: Cyndee San Luis, Mike Elling, and Kimberly Jacobs.
Our finalists hosted 1stLook LA this week, but not without some help from the hosts you already know and love. Check out the contestants’ hosting skills and tell us who you think should host 1stLook LA, in the comments section below.

My vote is for cyndee san luis. She has a great look, she is witty and engaging. The three judges commented that she appeared a bit too self-conscious or “unconfortable in her skin”, i think if the judges were to let go of this catch (namely, cyndee), it would be a mistake. I watched DesignStar on HGTV when David Bromsted won his own television show…I think the first season he appeared a bit nerve-wracked; but still, he was engaging. In Cyndee’s most recent reel she did appear a lil’ nervous, but she was still engaging. And, from watching her entry tape I can see there is more to her abilities than what this most recent take delivered. Cyndee appears to be a fun-loving, personable host…and that’s why i hope she wins.

I LOVE MIKE!! He looks the most relaxed and the most NATURAL at it! This is probably the first time I will vote for a man over a woman - sorry gals - You’re great too - but Mike is a breath of fresh air.
