Rap wars are so mid-1990s, but that doesn’t mean that East and West don’t still have their battles. This week, 1stlook LA incites a (friendly) battle of East Side hipster vs. West Side boheme.

Our host, Shira Lazar took to the streets (and most importantly, the dressing rooms) to find out the differences between east and west side style. Shira headed to happy LA in the Pacific Palisades to get a sense of West LA style and tried on some East LA fashion at Una Mae’s in Los Feliz.

The conclusion on the distinction between east and west seems to be hipsters on the east and beach bohemians on the west. As far as which side of the 405 rules the runway, we’re staying mum, but tell us what you think in the comments below
