A Chocolate Tutorial at Boule Atelier

Viviana Vigil took her mother, Polly, to Boule Atelier for the ultimate Mother’s Day treat — chocolate.

And the only thing better than eating chocolate is making it — start to finish. Viviana and her mom made ganaches with help from chocolatier, Jimin Chung.

Handmade gifts are great, and handmade chocolate is even better!

Not that we ever needed a reason to eat chocolate.

Buscando el Taco Mejor

There’s no lackage of taco stands in Los Angeles, but that just makes the competition fiercer among tacquerias. We sent Conor Knighton on a taco tour of sorts, to scout out the best places to grab a taco (or dos).

Conor braved a long line at Tito’s in Culver City, where tacos are as authentic as they come: shredded beef in a hard shell. Don’t be surprised if you start singing “I love Tito’s Tacos.” And you might not think you’d find great tacos at a farmer’s market, but Conor did — at the Loteria Grill in the Farmer’s Market.

Another great place to grab a taco — and catch it if you can — is the Taco Truck. Hey, sometimes great food has wheels.

We promise you’ll spot nary a chiuahaha at our top picks. Tell us your favorite place to grab a taco in the comments below.
