California Love

Being single during the summer has made me realize that it doesn’t need to be Valentine’s Day for you to add some romance to your life.

Some of my picks for you couples and first daters:

Santa Monica Pier Carnival- This one struck me like a light bulb last weekend when I was at the Pier — not on a date, unfortunately. The whole beach during sunset thing is so cliché, but roller coaster rides, ferris wheel cuddling and competing against each other for giant stuffed animals is romantic… and fun!

Café Stella- A great cozy candelit French bistro hidden off the street in Sunset Junction. Hint? Anything hidden always sounds and feels romantic.

Café Des Artistes - I’m originally from Montreal and grew up surrounded by the French, so take it from me that this is one of the most romantic and European restaurants in L.A. An amazing outdoor patio and their French waiters (not actors FYI) make you feel like you’ve escaped the city.

Chefmakers- I’ve always thought this was such a good date idea,
because it’s hands on (get your head out of the gutter!) Chefmakers is a cooking class in the Pacific Palisades. Learn from a pro, indulge together after and BYOB.
